Project Description

Constructing the Additional Lanes (Grade, Drainage, Pavement, Concrete Pavement Rubblization, Bridge Widening, Lighting, Signing and Signals) on I-65 from the north end of the Catoma Creek bridge to the south end of the Mill Street bridge, and the Bridge Widening on I-65 from north of Fairview Avenue to the Alabama River Bridge in Montgomery.

Major Project Benefits

· Six lanes for through traffic from south side of Montgomery to Prattville

· Replacement of aged, bumpy concrete roadbed

· Faster travel times for workday commuters, recreational commuters, occasional travelers and the trucking industry

· Reduced congestion for rush hour commutes and other peak travel times such as holidays and summertime weekends
